I live in Seattle and was moving my mother back to her home in Lancaster. We have a handicapped accessible bathroom here and it was truly needed for her welfare at her primary residents. On short notice, I flew to CA and starting looking for a contractor. I lined up three contractors of which West Coast Builders (WCB) was one of them. Rick Serfoss showed up at the our house and after a little small talk we found out that we were only one year apart at AVHS, me 79, Rick 78. After explaining what I was looking for, Rick quickly took some measurements, snapped a few photos and off he went. Rick was the ONLY contractor who got me a bid in a timely manner, four days. Having lived through four additions at my house I had a very good idea of how much a renovation for a 81 sq foot bathroom should have cost. He came in well within the budget I set for myself. I quickly agreed to do business with WCB and never regretted my decision. I was working on a very tight time schedule, two weeks, and WCB delivered. I choose to use a separate plumber, Patriot Plumbing, to re-pipe the house and they worked out great. They were very user friendly and worked out all the small details with Rick. We had a custom shower built, handicapped accessible, and WCB used Gilbert Duran of Duran Tile to do the work. Once again, they hit it out of the park. I was very impressed with the shower pan they formed by hand, very skilled workmanship. We also used Lancaster Flooring for the vinyl work. I was some what disappointed with the scheduling provided by Lancaster Flooring but the installer, Vic, was a true professional. He used one piece of vinyl for the kitchen, laundry room and a 1/2 bath and centered it down the door. Wow! Rick did a great job of keeping my informed during the entire process and was there everyday making sure things were done on time. Would I use him again, YES. WCB did an outstanding job, they came in on time, and on budget. Rick Serfoss is a small business owner who knows its the little things that count and he did all the little things along with the big things.
